Interior view of Station Chawla
Artemis Foundation Main Belt Research Station Chawla is located 120° forward of asteroid 2709 Sagan. Along with Station McAuliffe, its primary purpose is to provide coverage of one-third of the "sky" of the Solar System in support of astronomical and astrophysical research performed by the Handwavium Propulsion Laboratory.

Built by the Artemis Foundation and Hephaestus Mining and Metalworking, Unltd. after the April Fool's Purchase, Chawla is a classical Stanford Torus, with its interior patterned after the famous artwork by Don Davis. As such, it's one of the larger and more pleasant constructed stations in the Main Belt, which means it's become a popular vacation spot in addition to being a research station.

As is standard in all Stellvia Corporation and Artemis Foundation installations, Chawla has its own Interwave node. It is an oversized and doubly-redundant node, with dedicated links to both McAuliffe and 2709 Sagan.

Shuttle Phoenix is based out of Station Chawla.
