Run by Larry Williams (a former airline pilot), Orbital Air operates a thrice-weekly service from Perth to Moonbase Alpha, departing Perth Monday, Wednesday and Friday, returning Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Larry and his nephew Mark each head flight crews that alternate trips. Service is aboard a single modifed C-97 that can carry 40-60 passengers in conditions approximating business-class air travel (one of the three cabins can be quickly refitted for cargo). Unfortunately, the in-flight movies are limited to ''Star Trek'' reruns by a quirk of the aircraft, which was dubbed the ''[[USS Danube]]'' by Mark.

Unfortunately, the in-flight movies are limited to Star Trek reruns by a quirk of the aircraft, which was dubbed the USS Danube by Mark.

A package deal holiday including travel and accomodation with hotel rooms in Moonbase Alpha and tours of Luna sites of interest is under negotiation. At the moment, a return flight costs about $120, and a single either way costs about $100 (all prices in US dollars).
