The first ambulance in space.

Known Vehicle Quirks

  • Right of Way: With the lights and sirens (heard inside the ship, but, due to vacuum, not outside) active, the ship’s maximum speed increases from 0.1c to 0.12c. This effect only works so long as it is used for honest emergencies; frivolous use of the lights and sirens causes the ship to slow down to a maximum speed of 0.05c for several hours or until a patient is loaded on board.
  • I’m watching my soaps: When not on an emergency call, Mercy will stall, float dead in space, and otherwise be completely useless unless a soap opera is playing on one of the internal status monitors. Oddly, the original Star Trek counts, but anything by David Lynch does not.

Known Crew Quirks

  • Victorian Era Sensibilities: Both Sally and Jeff are conscientious and polite to a fault - not that they let this get in the way of their work. On the job, they’re efficient, effective, and attentive to detail. When waiting for a call, the silence between them can at best be called “awkward.” When not in a stressful situation, they tend to call each other “Ms. Woods” and “Mr. Crew.”
