Fans of Frank Herbert’s Dune cycle, who are working on a Handwavium-produced melange that could have just the same effects as it would in the books. Two notable Herberite subfactions are the Bene Gesseret, seen by some as the epitome of feminism at its worst[1], and the Combine Honnete Ober Advancer Mercantiles (CHOAM, currently controlled by Padraig O'Niell), a company hoping to making interstellar trading easy by gaining a very early monopoly on it[2].
