Most fendanes are individuals with an interest in fandom but no access to handwavium or Fenspace.
Many AIs based on fictional characters are fendane, from the other direction – they have no connection to fandom other than the fact that they "came out of a story," so the Fen lifestyle holds little interest for them.
Perhaps the best-known fendanes in Fenspace are the upper management of Stellvia Corporation.
