A conglomeration of fans/followers of various "Hollow Earth"/underground exploration stories and/or conspiracy theories. Named for one of the more famous literary examples, Edgar Rice Burroughs' Pellucidar, it also includes fandoms that range from Edgar Allan Poe's The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket through The Land of the Lost, along with followers of any of a dozen different fringe pseudoscientists, all loosely allied with the goal of getting down there deep.

This faction spends its time creating and using various vehicles which drill, burrow and/or phase through earth, and at least some members espouse a plan to find or create a subterranean world of their own.

Like any earthbound faction, the Pellucidarans are by necessity secretive and suspicious of outsiders; and given their literary and "scientific" precursors somewhat predisposed toward paranoia and not a little "mad scientist" behavior. They are also one of the richer factions hiding in the 'Danelaw -- their explorations turn up no small number of rare resources ranging from gems and precious metals to petroleum products. Subsequently, the current generation of Pellucidarans tend to start off with high-end state-of-the-art hard tech before they ever dip into the handwavium.

Some of those aware of the Pellucidarans -- such as the Banzai Institute -- suspect that they may have a secret "sugar daddy" in the form of a mining corporation or consortium, looking to eventually exploit their creations or discoveries. Some tantalizing hints along these lines have been discovered, but no hard evidence as of yet.

The Pellucidarans appear in the following stories:
