The dramatis personae of this version of Fenspace are both familiar and strange to people familiar with the original Fenspace. Some people are eerily similar, some are recognizable if one squints really hard, and some don't have counterparts at all.

The original-Fenspace analogues of these people are noted when they exist.

Important People in Cislunar Space

Noah Anderson
Noah S. Anderson was the first businessman to successfully gain a presence in space, by using the expedient of hiring experts instead of trying to do the work himself. His holding company owns the L5 Bernal Sphere Stella Via, where he makes his residence. (Wild rumors say that he's considering building and moving into a private space station, but nobody's that rich.) He also owns Stella Via Trading Company, which does big money with the Convention. Noah also dabbles in AI design, and has created a half-dozen infomorphs which he then gave morphs and adopted as his children. In his personal life, he's currently worried about his eldest AI girl, who’s vanished into the Convention. Noah never married.
(Noah Anderson is this universe's close-analog of original Fenspace's Noah Scott.)
Megan Anderson
Not-particularly-famous, Megan is the owner and head chef of a successful high-class restaurant in Luna City. She's on good terms with her genius daughter Eimi and wealthy brother Noah, but their schedules give them few opportunities to get together.
(In the original Fenspace, Megan died two decades before handwavium was discovered. She lives on only as the inspiration for her brother's first restaurant.)
Eimi Anderson
Daughter of Megan Anderson and the late Shinichi Yamaguchi (and niece of famed businessman Noah Anderson), Eimi holds a graduate degree in cybernetics from MIT. She and her uncle were the first to successfully use the "handwavium" technology to create a cybernetic intelligence. Lives with her mother in Luna City, where she's out from under the shadow of her uncle (and casting a pretty big shadow of her own in the infomorph community). Divorced, no children, not currently in a relationship. Introduced her classmate Miyuri to Jake Hansen.
(Eimi is another distant analog of an original-Fenspace character. This Eimi is biologically human.)
Kohran Anderson
Kohran is probably the most famous infomorph/handwavium specialist in the system. She's one of Noah's children, coded as a technical genius. Kohran had the flash of inspiration that lead to the development of the "stutterwarp" FTL engine which has been put into use colonizing Alpha Centauri.
(Kohran is this universe's analog of Kohran Li, with a few traits from many of the other Mads of original Fenspace.)
Amelia Anderson
The first known infomorph to completely reject both the "net-connected cyberspace" and "humaniform morph" infomorph lifestyles, Amelia's hardware is one with her spacecraft body... whichever spacecraft that happens to be at the time. She sometimes calls herself "The Ship Who Seeks," but never tells anyone just what she's seeking. Amelia is currently earning the purchase price of her own spacecraft by working as a shuttle pilot on the Benjamin Franklin / Stella Via "milk run."
(Amelia is a distant analog of Yayoi Fujisawa - she's one of the ones you have to squint to make out.)
Dakota
Well known Indie Vulture that makes heavy use of ROVs from a ROV carrier crawler. Currently one of the go to people on Grand Central for custom ROVs when not on a Vulture run. Suffered crippling injuries in the early years of the wave craze when a 'backyarder' he was helping a friend with shifted suddenly. Resulting in the loss of his legs below the knees and reduction of mobility in one arm. Few years later and a blend of home/professional built cybernetics resulted in his current two-tailed chocolate colored anthro Fox morph. Based off one of his Champions online characters.
Eljay
Also known as "VF" or "Vulpine Fury," Eljay is the most famous "sleeve" designer in cislunar. He's less of a "maverick like early Jim Henson" and more of a Ray Harryhausen or Stan Winston, with a penchant for showing up at cons in extravagant "sleeves." His star started rising through helping to outfit a Fen-poser Rock band who lost the "poser" part along the way, kind of like the leather shop that helped KISS get their classic look. He lives with Amalthea, a companion/housekeeper CI he rescued from the metaphorical trash heap.
(Eljay is, of course, a close analog of Vulpine Fury from original Fenspace. Amalthea does not have an analog in the mainline.)
Jake Hansen
Noah Anderson's right-hand-man, "CEO" to Noah's "President." Very busy, but not so busy that he doesn't have a social life, Jake is known to sponsor zero-g gynmastics teams and zero-g ballet companies. He's married to Miyuri Fujiwara, a cyberneticist who he met at one of the Anderson family get-togethers.
(Jake Hansen is a very-close analog of Jake Hansen. Miyuri Fujiwara is a distant analog of Miyuri Akisato; the most important difference between the two is that this Miyuri is biologically human.)
Jet Jaguar
A madsci enthusiast who left the traditional fleshy life behind as too limiting. Almost but not quite invented the idea of forking; there’s more than a few Jet Jaguars running around the solar system at any one time, all of them being aspects/copies of the same person. Jet builds stupid-fast motorbikes, teaches martial arts and runs the vigilante/merc group the Knight Sabers in her spare time. Prefers female morphs, though may not have started out that way.

Important Martians

(We're sure there are some, but nobody's mentioned any of them yet.)

Important Cytherians

(Again, we're sure there are important people who live above Venus, but...)

Important Convention Members

Sora Anderson
Sora is the first CI designed by Eimi Anderson with personality coding by Noah Anderson (including personality components of the anime characters Sora Naegino and Sora Hasegawa). She's a competent space engineer, who developed a bunch of open-source improvements to standard spacecraft designs. She decided that her talents were going to waste working inside the inner system & has joined the "rebel alliance" - Sora is currently working on the other side of the Gate with a group of technical pacifist Fen terrorists.
(This Sora is an analog of original-Fenspace's Sora Hasegawa.)

People Who Don't Exist Here

The Professor is a myth. Really. (His role as a technical genius is filled in this alternate by many scientists, including Kohran Anderson and to a lesser extent Sora Anderson. His role as an object lesson is filled by rumors and urban legends.)
